Default Need Info on Unlocking Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Hello fellow crackberrians..

I had a question, is it true to unlock the cingular/ATT Curve the process needed Cingular/ATT simcard to be inserted?
or like usual just insert any simcard, type MEPD and MEP2, enter the unlock code and go ?

because I lived outside the US so this matter is very important to me

thanks

ps: sorry for my poor English since I'm from a non English speaking country

Default I tell you for my honest

I unlocked the at&t Curve thru Old Cingular SIM card into access the MEPE menu. Then I removed old cingular simard from curve. I put my tmobile sim card into the curve. Its great work!

let me tell you somethings, you will not able to unlock att curve without att/ cing sim card. because you will need a Cingular or ATT SIM card in order to access the MEPE menu where it will unlock. Otherwise, non-att/cingluar simcard can't access and read by AT&T Curve's the MEPE menu nor show MEPE menu on there, Like happened to me before.

Good Luck!

A friend of mine called Cingular and asked for the unlock code as he was going to Europe for two months. He said he was going to use O2 service and needed his Curve unlocked. It was emailed to him in 4 days without any argument!

Why pay if it is FREE!

You need to be a Cingular customer in order to get it unlocked. In addition, I believe you need to have had a contract for 6 months or more.

all other responder said that's no need to put the cingular/ATT sim only XBGM3R said , must have have the cingular/ATT sim to be inserted to show the ALT+MEPE windows..
get me a bit worry bout it, btw i have a cingular SIM here, but sure it won't work here since no cingular/ATT service here..
will my sim solve it (if simcard needed to unlocked it) ?

cross my finger on it, i want it so bad
