I am trying to install BES 4.1.3 and I get the following error when trying to go through the Database Dialog Box after the reboot. "Database not found. Verify the information." Now there is a version of SQL Server is installed which is SQL Server 2005 express. This was installed for Backup exec. So teh installation detects that it is installed and I am not sure how to get past this stage of teh installation. Any help would be, well, helpful! Thx.

If SQL Server 2005 Express is already installed on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server with a named instance, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server installer will not automatically install MSDE. You must install an other instance of MSDE2000 or SQL Server 2005 Express before you start the setup of BES 4.1.3.

Are you doing BES + MDS Services or just BES? I seem to recall that BES + MDS Services needs a different SQL 2005 version.

Never installed on 2005 myself, but seem to remember reading it in the install.pdf.

Your database in running under a named instance so you will need to either create a new instance or use an existing one e.g <Severname>\Express

Also the full "MDS Services" in NOT compatible with SQL 2005 Express. You are still able to use the standard MDS component for web or intranet traffic.
