Just bought a pearl a day ago. First I find out you cant have vibe AND ring for phone calls, and now I dont see an option to turn volume off when dialing numbers. Please tell me there is a way to do this.

I have key tone OFF, but it still makes noise when I dial...

Perhaps a hard reset (remove/reinsert battery) will help?

If those were such critical items (as your subject implies) then why didn't you do your research first? Perhaps you should just return it and choose an entirely different device since TMO gives you 14 days, IIRC.

That won't turn off the DTMF tones -- there's no way to turn them off.
