Hello,

A while back, I had a Sony Ericsson phone, and used Float's Mobile Agent on my PC, that had a whole range of features, including Incoming Call Display on the PC.

Is there an application around for Blackberry that has a similar feature?

eg. You are sitting at your PC, and you phone rings. A popup on your computer screen says "Incoming Call".

It doesn't HAVE to display WHO is calling, or have options to answer/hang up. Simply displaying that a call is coming in on the computer screen will make me happy.

If anybody knows of such an application, please do let me know.

If one doesn't exist, can anybody suggest where I should start to develop one? (I am a programmer, but haven't touched the Blackberry yet)

Callwave. It's a voicemail service. It's free. You can download a yahoo widget type program that rings, pops up and tells you who's calling. They are also bet testing a feature where you can answer on you PC if you have a BT headset paired with your PC (or a standard headset).

also if you connect to your pc via BT it will pop up....not the same drivers that the desktop manager uses. its one or the other. on my ibm laptop if i use the oem drivers i get the popup with name from my address book. i can even answer the call on my laptop. if i switch to the windows driver i can only do the desktop manager.

Just don't try to use it with Sprint, as it just forwards all your calls to Callwave. You won't even get a chance to answer on your computer.
