Hrm... put some no name brand chip that is on backorder in my $450 phone (+ unlocking fees) or just pony up and go with the SanDisk name. Doesn't seem like a hard choice to me - mine's shipped already from Verizon.

I talked to my distributor this afternoon about the availability of the SanDisk microSD. She will give me a feedback when...

I got a request to put up a promo for this microSD. So stay tuned....

Although I can understand your concern considering your investment, don't think that just because it isn't SanDisk it is crap! That would like be saying if it isn't an Ipod blah, blah, ... you catch my drift... There are several companies that put out quality memory cards that you may or may not have heard of and they work just the same as SanDisk and are much cheaper. Do your research, unless you prefer to get ripped off by the man! Some people do, to each their own, but I know better myself. I have used Transend 2GB memory cards in two of my Nokia's (dirt cheap) and have never had a problem. Coby is a respected name, and 39$ is a nice price!

Hey man - to each their own... in this case I was simply stating that I am choosing to go with the more mainstream or "well known" brand since it is the one that is currently in stock and ready to ship now. If someone wants to wait for the other card I couldn't care less...

I should also point out that the Coby microSD card has been on pre-order since March 3rd (at least... that's when it was posted on slickdeals) - this was part of my reason for posting that in my mind, it's an easy choice for ME to make.

Works GREAT. It's the Sandisk 4 GB Micro SDHC 3 in one card-with mini and reg. SD adapters. I formated it while in the Blackberry. It shows 3.7 GB total available, 2.8GB used since I loaded it with Music.
I just dragged and dropped in mass storage mode since I use a Mac and the Roxio program won't work for me.

Now I've got as much music as the lower model of the iPhone in likely a more stable OS. I like to feel the click of my berry buttons and keys!

I have a little over 300 songs and 7 full length movies (Bean, Animal House, Office Space, Borat, Shallow Hal, Joe Dirt, and 1941). I have 142MB left over.
