Question On screen keypad?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my first Blackberry, the 8830, and I have a hard time seeing the letters on the keys. I just switched from a WM5 phone with a touch screen.
Do anyone make a software that will put a keypad on the screen and allow you to use the trackball to dial a number or type a text?

He did explain the need. He has a hard time seeing the letters on the keys, and that is eomthinge most smartphones have. But, then again, most smartphones have touchscreens, which the BB does not have. I can see how some would find it useful, but using the trackball to type one letter or one number at a time would be too slow for most people.

The only suggestions I have are:

- if you use a standard keyboars on your computer, the keys are laid out the same (QWERTY).

- set up auto text entries, so you can type in a few letters and it will auto-type whatever you set it to (ex: I have it set to type my signature line with all of my contact info when I type 'sigp'). So, you could have a bunch of pre-canned messages.

Those are the only options I can think of, short of trading you device in for a SureType device like the Pearl or a 7100 series device.
