NO benchmarks have been performed with regards to battery use. My experience is that it is worse when connectivity is worse. This is due to the need to keep connecting and reconnecting to the AOL servers.

Post your experience with battery life, let us know what kind of use you get.

Sorry, you must either be using an old browser that doesn't support Java, or you have java support turned off. You must be running at least Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0. Newer versions of Netscape and IE will work also. If you are running new versions of Netscape or IE, and the applet still doesn't show up, making sure you have Java turned on.

You know, I've heard from a few sources, that people are having trouble with 7100g.

Have others had success logging in from a 7100g? If so, what version of the Operation System? Are you using MDS? Did you need to do anything special to get it working?

Default Multiple Logins?

Just checking - The multiple log support refers to having the same id simultaneously logged in at different locations, correct? (ie. my desktop and BB)

I am finding I can only be logged into one or the other, not both as I am with my multiple desktops.

No matter, it's still great!

Well, now I get the real story. My IT security admins tell me port 1290 is blocked. They have no plans to unblock it. I am SOL.

Just downloaded and installed Ramble on my 7230 w/t-mobile service. I only had to configure the APN, but otherwise this is working great! Great job with this app!!

Are all ports blocked? It doesn't really matter what port you use. Try changing it to one they'll allow. Perhaps 8080 or 80?

Gregg, if you're on MDS, have you verified with your administrators that toc.oscar.aol.com:1290 is not firewalled? You can test by visiting http://toc.oscar.aol.com:1290/ from your desktop IE browser. If it doesn't try to pop-up AOL quickbuddy, you're likely got a firewall issue. If it does pop up, try visiting that address from your BlackBerry since your Desktop and BlackBerry could, in theory, be behind different firewalls.

Have you configured TCP networking per this thread:

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7520: BlackBerry7520/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)

Works well on my Nextel 7520, although I'm getting a few disconnects here and there

Hi, I am a new user of a 7100t with T-mobile. I have Ramble up and running and it seems to work pretty good. I get several messages of Low Signal even though there are 4 bars showing on my service. I followed Impdust's instructions up to 21. So far so good! It started up fine. Thanks! I look forward to seeing more options on it but it is doing great thus far.

Few issues/bugs I "think" exist. Looking for input if others are experiencing them (and what BB/OS you are using):

1) Once you acquire 20 or 30 lines of chat for a buddy, actions start to slow down for that buddy.

2) Clear conversation does not act immediatly - you have to close out of the buddy and open them back up. Clear conversation does fix #1.

3) Away and idle behave inconsistent. Regardless of the setting in the option screen, sometimes you are placed away in holster, sometimes set idle after some timeframe, sometime neither ;)

Please let me know if you are experiencing these and if others are, I'll add them to the issue list.
