Default Blackberry Desktop Manager Keeps Closing

Please Login to Remove!

While doing a sync my Manager keeps on closing while its reading from Microsoft Outlook Calendar Record 138 of 542. How can I get rid of record 138 so I can complete the sync? I am assuming that record is corrupt in some way.

Thanks
Trey

I have found that calendar entries with attachments can be the culprit. Change your view in calendar to only show entries with attachements and delete the attachment.

Open calendar in outlook - choose view, arrange by and current view then customize current view. Choose Filters, then the tab for more options and choose "only items with" and choose attachments.

Good luck!

Try erasing the calender info on the blackberry and resync. The step to step guide is here

Ideasmith... you linky does not clicky.

Trey, no need to delete all your calendar entries. Gotta find that record 138 and delete it. Has your BB been able to sync the calendar in the past? If so , can you recall the entries you have entered since then?

Are you sure you have NO attachments in your calendar?
Are you running the latest version of Desktop Manager, Ver 4.2, Service Pack 1? That upgrade could help.

lol, I noticed that a few sec after I posted. There was a default http inside, i took it out so it is clickier now. Thanks for the headsup.

Hmmm, i better go read the forum rule....blog allowed? I can't paste photos easily here so I put most of my hardfound solutions on a blog....

Anyway, calender info are very small in size, it may be good to take out the whole thing so that the blackberry can reset the database correctly. Takes about 3 to 5 seconds to kill off the database and then resync. I am talking about calender info on the blackberry side, don't delete the info on your outlook side lol
