My dad got a Cingular Blackberry 8100 a few months ago, but he's very much a novice when it comes to using cell phones, or even computers. He basically just knows how to make calls and read his email using the Blackberry, but little else, which is fine for him.
He's away this week on a business trip, and somehow he did something to his phone so that when using the phone app, the keys dial letters instead of numbers. He has no idea what he did, and cannot figure out how to change it back. It's been a couple of years since I've used a Suretype device, and I cannot remember how to fix this problem, nor do I think I ever had such a problem.
Can someone please explain to me (step by step instructions) of how to change it back so it dials numbers again, and also perhaps explain how he might have accidentally changed it to dial letters in the first place.
