Hello all.. I just joined and I really like what I've read so far. I have a question regarding syncing groupwise Contacts through the BES. I already went in and specified CONTACTS as the address book I want to sync with my BB device. Is there a specific timeframe that needs to elapse before this takes place? And also should I have an icon for the synched contacts on the BB desktop or will they show up under Addresses? Please forgive me if my questions are simplistic, it's just that I'm new to BB's and I've been placed in charge of supporting the BES so I'm learning on the fly. Thanks in advance.

I think the address books sync about every 4 hours or so. And they will simply show up in the address book on the BB. You won't have a seperate icon.

Also, at least in BES version 4.0, only People objects will sync to the BlackBerry adrdressbook, not Resource or Organization objects.

Will BES sync GroupWise contact Groups? Our system doesn't seem to want to do this.

Only contacts not groups, or distribution lists, or resources, and non that are shared from a different owner either.
