is thier a way to not keep the text history. i end up deleting it every time i read a message. i do about 2000 a month :(

When you reply, Select Full menu and select Remove History.

I'm pretty sure the SMS history is just compiled from messages in the SMS folder with the same sender/recipient address. If you want to clear the history, just empty your SMS folder. To do that, roll to the top of the folder, selecting today's date. Hit the menu key, then choose Delete Prior. It will delete everything below your selected date.

are you trying to get rid of the history inside a message you are replying to or trying to auto erase messages after you have read them? please clarify

1- Or, while at the sms inbox, go to the very top to highlight the date, press menu then delete prior.

2- while in the sms inbox, press and hold (alt) then while still holding (alt) press (s) to show all your sms text or press (p) to show all your dialed and received call list. You delete all (depending which you have selected by going to the very top date then menu then choose (delete prior).
