Well i got my replacement 8100 in today and noticed how dirty the trackball was i didnt even notice it. is anyones worse?

I believe the newer ones are made from material that is not brightest white. I have similar one when I got mine month ago.

I got a new 1 because the clip that holds the backplate on broke. So they sent me a whole new 8100

If you are talking about the silver "release" tab on the back, then yes, they did the same thing for another employee here. Hmmm, is this that common a problem - she only had it a week and it was MIA. They sent a full replacement, and it had the "dirty" ball....
