I have a question, I downloaded the software and now my time has changed properly, but it didn't change the time for me under network time. So basically under network time it's still an hour behind. Is that okay? Or should it have changed? I just want to make sure because if I start using free minutes at 9, I don't know if it would start under my network time, or the time I set it to?

i did the whole "update time" thing too, and it changed the time on my homescreen, but its still one hour behind on under my network time. would my free minutes begin at 9, under my homescreen time, or 9 uder my network time?

For what it's worth I'm in AZ (no DST) and I installed the patch and mine is correct, both Home and Network (ie nothing changed).

edit...

working now

Maybe this will help someone

I always choose *Central Time(US&Canada) Mexico City*(including for this forum in my USER CP under edit options)

Well, on the Pearl I had Mexico City chosen as well. This was my problem: needed to go in and choose *Central Time(US&Canada)*. NO Mexico City mentioned.

Damn congress

Patch worked perfectly here. Watched it change from 1:59 to 3:00 just as my PC, digital cable box and Palm Tungsten did at the same time.

TMo Pearl running Cingy .71 with BB Dimension Zen theme.

PS. Just checked the Date/Time source and it's set to 'Blackberry'. Must be default because I don't recall ever changing it.

I don't know about everyone else but when I tried to install the patch via AOL it wouldn't work. Then I tried IE version 7.0 and patch worked instantly. After it told me to disconnect my Blackberry the reboot took all but 30-45 seconds. No other side effects of the patch that I currently recognize.

I patched my Pearl for DST and just noticed that all of my scheduled events have been moved ahead by 1 hour. I had a doctor appointment at 2pm today but the calendar in my Pearl said 3pm. The funny part is that this only occurs for my appointments in the calendar until dst was supposed to occur on the first Sunday of April. Fortunately... I only have to change my appointments for the next three weeks back to one hour earlier. I would be pretty bummed if this happened to everything for the next few months. Has this happened to anybody else?

My 8100 time is messed up - it did not change on Sunday and when I change it manually every time I synch it pushes it back an hour. When I checked the 2007 DST patch that I downloaded OTA yesterday it showed that it did not download and now the patch is not available on RIM's site. Any suggestions?

Thaks,
Roger

I'll chime in here...

I had the same problem... the 8100 dst patch was applied and the system rebooted after the patch. the patch said successful. 2 of my users also reported this with their 8100.

The time didn't change on sunday. I spent hours on hold with blackberry on monday night.

The workaround they gave was as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the current workaround for DST failing on 8100:

The following steps can be followed to remove the incorrect time zone information in the device’s time zone database.

1. Remove user from the BES, selecting "Yes" to remove all existing BlackBerry data 2. Connect the device to Desktop Manager 3. Go into "Options" > "Advanced Options" > "Service Books" and delete all "Desktop[*]" or "BlackBerry[*]" service books 4. Backup the device Data 5. Edit the device backup with the "Advanced" feature of Backup/Restore to delete the Time Zone entry and resave the backup 6. Security wipe the device 7. Restore the backup file from step #4 8. Add user back to the BES

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Before you try this however... be warned... I have had decrypt errors and had to completely reload my 8100 including remove from the bes and readd in order to fix.

If you want a simple fix for the 8100, shift its timezone over one.. so if you're -6 move yourself to -5. Then wait for a proper 8100 patch since Blackberry is aware the 8100's have dst issues.

If you don't do anything? Well, any appointments you make on your blackberry will show up on your outlook calendar 1 hour early.
