Default text to number converter

There has to be an easy way to do this: I want to call 1-800-comcast. What's the easiest way to convert the text to a number? I had to pick up another phone to translate the letters!

Type 1800 and then hold down ALT (which will allow you to type letters instead of numbers) and type out COMCAST. It converts everything itself, you just type the word.

I have the same issue. I need to call 1-888-ROGERS1. When I type 1888, then R, then O, it is changing it to RRO like it is trying to autofil? I then have to backspace, try again, backspace again etc. Why would it be autofilling when I am trying to type in a phone number?

That's a known bug in some of the 4.2.1 software. I think it's fixed in the latest OS from T-mobile (4.2.1.107)
