Default Trackball presses itself?

Please Login to Remove!

So this morning, my friend calls me, very pissed off, because I've been sending her a string of blank text messages. Also, the call itself just answered itself automatically. It's like the trackball is pressing itself randomly. This happened with the BB sitting on a table, face up.

Has anybody had something similar happen?

UPDATE:
Called T-Mo and they're sending me a new one in addition to crediting the blank texts to my friend's account. The trackball is definitely physically borked.

Someone placed a voodoo spell on your BlackBerry.

Did you try resetting the handheld by removing the battery? If it's a software problem that might fix it. If it's hardware.....might need to exchange.

So far so good with a hard reset, but I had the distinct feeling that it was something physical.

Reset actually hasn't helped much. I think it's a mechanical problem. Time to call T-Mo.
