Default without a case

Please Login to Remove!

Any longer users here using it without a case? Can you tell me if the screen gets scratched easily? I just started using my phone for ONE DAY and it already has a scratch on the screen. Is the screen's sensitive or I'm just unlucky?

Btw, does the clear plastic case covers the screen also? I can't tell from the picture.

ShieldZone - Home of the iPod Screen Protector

I have used these since the day I got the Pearl. Good stuff.

What he said....
I couldn't stand typing with the case on so BSE was the solution for me....

BSE is great, most cases including the Mobi one does not cover the screen. The only one I have found that covers the screen is new on the market from Speck Products. I have ordered one and plan to get it in the next day or so. I will post my review. Check it out here.

You should at least cover the screen. I use a pouch but the screen is protected (Seidio hard plastic protecor).

I carry my 7130c in my pocket all the time with no scratches. I just make sure there's nothing else in that pocket. Sometimes I use a pouch, but my pocket is much more convenient.

Just take care of it as you would a piece of fine china and it won't get scratched.

^ LOL I was thinking of that, but I figured it'll make the phone ugly. Care to share a picture?

Be careful, it's not just the screen! I've been keeping my Pearl in my pocket with a Best Skins cover on the screen (which looks great and has worked like a champ.) At some point today, the "Pearl" fell off from the trackball. Not sure if that's a common problem, but I think the lack of general protection probably contributed to it happening.

How does the BestSkinsEver works? Is it just a sticky plastic sheet? Would it come off easily?

Default 8100 Screen scratches

The best solution I have found is similar to the BSE. Its actually a pack of 12 or so electrostatic clear covers that don't permanently stick on the screen but adhere "naturally" (I don't know how else to describe it) I bought them for my old 7100 (2 yrs ago) at some random cell phone store in NYC and started using them for my Pearl when I got it in October 06. I've gone through 2 so far. the pack of twelve cost me 12 dollars and it keeps me from having to put the pearl in one of those sleeves (leather, rubberized or plastic - i dont like all of them)

Dont they lose their static charge over time? BSE seems like a more permanent solution, but if you have to you can take it of without leaving a sticky mess.

Dosent seem like this one covers the screen. I lookes at the blown up pci and the screen area is cut out. There is a Speck one that has screen protection. Check that one out. There is a thread on it too

Hope this helps.
