Exclamation Speaker issues?

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone have problems with their pearl sometimes when the speaker goes down low and they have to reset it to get it back? I do not know why mine does it sometimes.

Mine did that once when i first got it, but hasnt done it since. SInce then i have upgraded the OS and done 1 hard reset. Idk if one of those fixed it or if it was just a one time thing.

Update the software. There is a bug in the older versions that somehow confuse the speakerphone volume with the ringer volume.

Happened with the older versions... seemed as it was fixed with the new version. Just to be sure, what version do you have of your software?

There might be some lose wiring inside that is sending the sound to the headphone jack for a little bit of time. Try to use a headset for sometime and see what happens.

Well I can hear it but it is very low. Happened today after I used my bluetooth headset. I turned off and back on my phone and it was fine but I have missed calls with it being so low and I didnt notice it.

i mean the wired headset that came with the Pearl, not a bluetooth one.

I have had that happen. On mine I thought it had something to do with videos and music. Seems when I was playing a video, for example, and did not exit properly, the speaker got goofed up.

A battery reset fixed the problem and it has not happened again, in about a month. But I have also been real careful to press "stop" when exiting a video I was playing. Before I would just back out of a playing video and make calls or whatever. So that is what seemed to be causing my problem.

So on yours it may be an OS malfunction, not anything to do with the hardware.

Just a thought.

Default Speaker Trouble

I also believe that it is the new os due to the fact that the problems occured after the new os upgrade.
