mid-call, abrupt fast busy?

I used to use a 7280 for almost 2 years, then had a 7290 for about a month (running 3.8 and later 4.0) before I swapped for a 7100G and I have noticed that since going to the 4.0 software (and more frequently on the 7100g) I have gotten abrupt drops with a fast busy in Cingular. It doesn't seem to matter where I am as this has happened both at work (North San Jose), at home ( south San Jose) and while travelling (Monterey), so I can't blame the cell site.
I was curious if anyone else has experienced this too, if it's something the 7100 is doing or its just a network problem.
