IMHO looks legit. Not sure where he got it, but it's all over the Net that T-Mo is coming out with it in the next few weeks.
Maybe he works for T-Mo or someone from T-Mo gave it to him.
|
Very unlikely. If so, I think he would have more feedbacks than this.

How you know this? You can't click on the past auctions from what I have seen on his feedback.

Just my opinion.

Well this is getting way off topic. With 8 years experience on eBay I just am giving you my sense of it.
If you don't know how to find out about that watch winder he bought, you may not know enough about how eBay works.
All you do is go into eBay search, enter his user name, and check to see what he has bid on in the past 30 days. It's right there in the results.
And I disagree that he PhotoShopped the pic. Those are real pics.
One thing you can do is ask him about it. See if he responds. Tell him you think it is a fake auction. If it is, he won't get back to you.
Oh heck I'll do it.

I really like the white pearl. But I would prefer all white, w/o the silver sides. And I am not buying one because mine is just fine. I'll save my $$ for the next big thing....8800 or beyond.

I'll reply with the same thing I replied to you over on HoFo....This is 100% a legit White T-mobile Blackberry Pearl. The MyFaves logo, date of release (before 2/14/2007), etc. all point to the fact that someone just got their hands on a WHite Pearl before you did. If we had not seen the pic of a White Pearl and had boyGenius give us a heads up on this, I might not believe it. However, crackberry addicts like myself and most people on this board have known about a White Pearl coming out on T-mobile for a while. Would you be willing to put a wager where your mouth is concerning if this a real pearl or not? Let's say...$100 that the T-mobile stores carry a Pearl that looks exactly like the one you are looking at on Ebay.....PM sir if interested. If not, quit with the conspiracy theories that someone has photo-shopped a phone we know is due out any day now.......

I agree I think it's butt ugly and would get dirty in a heartbeat. My wife however wants it over her Black Pearl now so we'll see if I have to buy it or not....

I think this is in line with some earlier posts [maybe including mine, too lazy to look] that a white Pearl would be attractive to females.
Nothing wrong with that. One of the lawyers who works for me is an aggressive litigator. For her Pearl I bought her some pink rubberized cases on eBay. She loves them. Pink?!?!?
I think RIM came out with it to appeal to the female segment of the market, not Arnold "The Terminator" Schwarzenegger.

I am not saying the T-mobile will not bring out a white Blackberry Pearl 8100. I will get one myself once it comes out. I am just saying this Ebay auction does not look legit.

I recon it's genuine. Sure it could be primer but the white keys as well??? I think this is the real deal......I think it looks ugly though as not everyone wants their technology in "shade of iPod"!!!!

I actually really dig the white pearl. If I had the opportunity I would totally get it. I do agree about the silver sides, they could have done something different with that. Even if they made it gold toned it would look better than it does.
If this is legit then RIM may be trying to hit the consumer market when it comes to colors. The LG Chocolate is really popular because people can pick from black, brown, green, white & red.
I would totally go for this though.

Does this mean we won't see the 8900 until after Feb. then? I'm assuming that RIM wouldn't release two "new" Blackberries at the same time..or would they?

No thanks, will keep my black one. Plus if I was going to pay the kind of money these things are going for, I would rather change models, not just color. For example rather spend the money on an unlocked 8800 when they come out.

Not bad. I will keep the black one though. Some people will flock to the white one, but I still say make interchangeable cases instead of different phones.
