How do I send MMS/Pictures
Please Login to Remove!
I've tried sending pictures. but haven't been able to as yet.
Under Media/Pictures, when I click the Options button, the only option I see is "Send using Bluetooth". How do I attach it into an SMS Message?
thx

You can't attach a picture into an sms. Do you have a data plan for BlackBerry? If not that's probably why you can't send mms. I am able to send pictures via MMS when I go to media/pictures then select the picture. I am also able to email pictures.
If you have a BlackBerry data plan and can't send mms try doing a reset and see if that helps. I have had an issue once where I couldn't send any mms but after I resent my service books and did a reset on my BlackBerry everything was back to normal.

That must be it. I don't have a data package yet. Planning to get one soon! I can't wait.
I had the RAZR earlier and it would let me send pics without an internet package. Must be different technology.
thx

that option doesn't show up when I click the BB button. As Nitty mentioned, must be because I don't have the data plan.

You can always tell your capabilities by your service indicator:
GSM, gprs, edge: Voice and SMS only.
GPRS, EDGE: Voice, SMS, MMS, email, internet, data, etc........................

I know what you mean. I have cell phones that I can send mms on and not require a data plan and be charged on a pay per use basis through my service provider but with the BlackBerry you do require a data plan.
Once you get your BlackBerry data pack you'll be able to send mms, emails, etc... & fall even more in love with your BlackBerry Pearl.

How would I reset my BB8100?
and also How do I resend the Service Books?
I can't seem to send out MMS and would like to try this solution.
Thank you!

First off, do you have a data plan? What does your service indicator say? GSM, gprs, edge, GPRS, EDGE

OK, well to reset the phone, just pull the battery out for 10 seconds.
If that doesn't help, you can send your service books by going to menu/setup internet email/service books/send all.

open the picture and then press menu. You can select 'send as mms' or 'send as email'. And knowing that you've been a blackberry user for a long time, I don't have to tell you that you need a data plan.

Are we all just missing the point of the problem?
I just got off the phone with Cingular.
It seems if you don't have one of the Media Packages then you cannot do MMS or MediaNet.
I currently have the BIS Personal with Extreme SMS. So i'm thinking of dropping the extreme and just adding a basic Media Package to add SMS&MMS.
Do you guys think that is the problem with not having MMS on Cingular BB 8100?

See that's the difference between Cingular and T-Mobile. T-Mobile includes all of that with the BIS service. You don't have to add all these other packages on to get all the features.

yeah and to top it off Cingular only gives two options:
200 messages - $4.99 or
3000 messages - $14.99
a $9.99 1000 message would be perfect, but of course they won't offer that, because that is what everyone wants.
