Default differences in software versions

Please Login to Remove!

I have 8700 for the rogers network in canada which is currently on v4.10.206.

Is there anywhere i can get a list of additional features/fixes that subsequent releases have added. ie rogers has .284 ready for download while blackberry.com has .466

Id like to know whats in these versions before i install them

Thanks.

The release notes are not normally published. In fact, I have only seem release notes for the handheld software once. Search the forums for 'release notes' and you should find the other thread with a link to said release notes.

Default Bluetooth crippled

At some point after build 284 the Bluetooth performance dropped from 400 kps to about 70 kps.

If Bluetooth bandwidth is important to you I would avoid going with the latest and greatest until a fix is announced. To my knowledge none of the other changes in the updates were particularly RIMarkable.

bluetooth isnt important to me. i sometime use it for my hands free headset, would the slowdown affect call quality ?

it seems really hard to find what they added in each version. you think they have something to hide or something I'm not sure if I should risk updating....

Nah, you'll be fine. I use a Jabra BT headset with my 8700g and it works great.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I would stay with .284 I changed to .346 and it seems slower when starting or going through the menu. Also the new voicemail icon doesn't work any more.
