I hate to admit this but...... $600 CAD for my 8700r at launch last year. I normally wouldn't have made such a purchase, but it was my gift to myself for getting a new contract with a client. Haven't doubted my decision since.

paid $300 to change my contract from a sidekick to BES with a 2 yr extention with Tmo, was the only way to get the $50 MIR, or else I would've gone with a 1 yr. Can you tell I hate commitments?

I paid $150 for mine (8700g) on Craigslist. I hate signing up for contracts and I'm pretty rough on phones so I just buy used ones.

This 8700 was listed for $275 on Craigslist. I e-mailed the seller and asked if he would take $150, he said no, so I e-mailed him back "thanks anyway." I didn't check my e-mail for a couple of hours and when I did there were three messages from the seller lowering his price sequentially and explaining why it was such a good deal. In his last message he hit my bid so I agreed to buy it.

I met him in a parking lot, plugged in my SIM card and made a test call. Everything worked so I gave him the money. I figured it wasn't stolen because he had the original box and accessories.

I normally use ebay, but this first experience on Craigslist worked out well.

$249 initially, but with a $250 rebate for switching to cingular, so got it better than free--I made a dollar!

Got mt 8700c from an ebay store.

Update- I finally found a rep on the phone who hooked me up and said I had a qualifying rate plan. I wonder if the morons at AT read this site or noticed that they were not selling at $562/pop. So, with the mail-in rebate, I'm paying $249 and did not even have to extend my plan. I did, however, spend about 10 hours getting pissed off about the issue and trying to work around it.

I got it and am replying with it now. Wow! That's all I can say. This is a huge improvement from the 7250!

Sheesh I got so many phones and BlackBerry(s), I can't remember how much I paid for my 8700g. If I have to look for the thread where I posted about how much I paid for, I can also do that

The last BlackBerry I purchased was the 7105t for my bestfriend's daughter which was about 3 - 4 months ago. Paid $79 to renew the contract but then again I might have gotten a great deal because I also purchased the Samsung Trace (for my bestfriend's youngest son) together with my PEARL (which btw, didn't arrive).

Ohhhh I think I know.. I believe I paid $199.00 (no rebate) for my 8700g
