Default Can the 8703e auto-dial my VM password?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have had my 8703e for a few days now and there is only 1 thing that i would like to be different on the phone (im comming from a treo 650)...

is there a way to program my voicemail number to also auto dial my password (using pauses is how i did it on my treo)...

i have tried messing with my #1 speed dial number, with no success.

thank you for your help, and i did a search for this and found 20 pages of very interesting stuff.. but nothing on this exact topic.

If you have the Sprint version, you can change the option within your voicemail to not prompt for a password.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Press the phone button, then options, then voice mail, then you will see dial additional number. Put in you vm password and the pound symbol and your all set, no pauses needed...

Mine worked just fine. Put *87 in the number instead of the preloaded phone number then put my password with pound on the additional numbers line..

You can use the method junior1790 posted, or you can dial the number, place a few comma's after the number, shows up as a P on my 7250, which means pause, then enter your password followed by pound.

Junior,

I did finally get this to work (I pulled the battery, put it back in and it started to work). One last question however, can I set voicemail up as a speed dial?

Thanks,
Mike

it's already assigned to the 1 key. Just press and hold it.

When I set my additional numbers to <pwd># it did not work. But I changed it to #<pwd> and it worked fine. The number is set to *86.

im surprised it worked with the pound sign in front of your password... it should be after... i had to put a pause in before my password, then a pound sign after it because it was entering my password too soon, to insert a pause just press , then your password and #

That sort of thing is carrier specific. On my network I have to hit #<pwd>#

For Verizon, it's actually market specific.
