Hi,

Has anyone else here noticed dust collecting under the screen cover? I'm wondering if my unit is defective or if its something others are seeing as well.

I just took my 8100 apart and cleaned it for that reason alone. Its a poor design that allows dust and small things to enter in the crack right by the silver side pieces. It comes apart easy just be gentle with the bottom piece there is easly broken metel film right under it. Follow the sticky thread on how to take it apart.

normally I clean all computer and devices with a microfiber cloth. that thing really sucks up dust. and doesn't damage my electronics.

I have the same issue with dust, too... I'm just afraid of messing it up when I take it apart so I'm leaving it there for now. The screen is already scratched anyway.

i havent had any issues with dust yet.

Right now I'm keeping the 8100 in a clear ziplock bag but without the ziplock until the screenprotector and silicone case arrive :(
