Ok. So I have tested the Pearl for about 3 weeks and have switched back to my 8700. The weird thing is my thumb misses the trackwheel in the middle It took some training to get use to the side wheel......

I am pleased with the Pearl but will be waiting for the 8800 since I do like the full keyboard better. For now I can wait a couple of months till it is out.

I agree that the keyboard is handier for longer messages. No doubt. Where the Pearl is neat is that you can type more messages one handed.
