Red face does the 8100 mp3 video drain battery?

Please Login to Remove!

if read that the battery life is still pretty good from GB on his pre-production verison of the pearl but can anyone else testify about the battery life of the 8100 when listening to music, playing videos and even taking pictures?

does it effect the battery life at all?

how often does one have to recharge? is it really 1 week?!?!

I am sure it does since there's audio and video. Just like you have less talk time when you talking on the phone vs. when you have the phone on stand by.

I've been using the mp3 player on mine for about three hours per day and I still have plenty of battery power left at the end of the day(40%). I've read somewhere that these things will give you 20 hours of audio and 6 hours of video playback...wouldn't hold my breath for those types of numbers though.

that doesn't sound half bad...listening for 20min-1h a day on the commute won't drain it too badly!

I don't use it for movies/music a whole lot but I get an average of 4 days. Sometimes more sometimes less. Thats with heavy texting...
