An updated version of 4.1 is on the horizon, but you won't be getting OS 4.2, unfortunately (much to my surprise).

Well, I think this may change. From a North American point of view, consider Nextel is being wrapped up into Sprint, this may be the outlook. But go global with your perspective, and if the DoCoMo (Japan) 7100i offering takes off, expect to see more devices produced and released for Telus (Canada), DoCoMo (Japan), KT PowerTel (Korea), SouthernLINC (United States), etc. We may never see another on Nextel, though. I would just keep all eyes on Japan, though... it may very well decide the fate of the iDEN BlackBerry's future.
