On BB's official site the only new software that I see (it might not even be new but I believe it is) is the "BlackBerry Smart Card Reader".

Well...until there's even a little bit of fact to this thread, it goes to the Rumor Mill.

In the meantime, feel free not to cry wolf.

Looks good!
BG will 4.2 come in box with the phone or will it be a download?
I'm a Mac user but I keep my old Compaq around just for my BB updates.

Sad but true. Too bad that Research In Motion doesn't recognize the Mac community as a viable revenue source. In fact, I keep my Dell workstation alive and well on my network for similar reasons.

I can't remember the last time I "had" to use my pc. Even if it's a program I can't find via OTA I put it on a thumb drive from my Mac. I have a thumb drive formatted in MS-Dos just for that reason.

I keep a ThinkPad X31 around just for this kind of thing. It's come in handy on more than one occasion. Of course now that BootCamp is out the ThinkPad might be superfluous. And that's a happy thoughtxxx8482;.

BG comes with LOADS of credibility. Surely you're not trying to compare yourself to him yet...

It's not what you said, but how you said it. All caps in the title and no substance to the post are going to do nothing but excite those that are rabid for new info.

In the future, please look to be more informative...I know you're excited about it...but please at least keep the subject more reflective of the post. What ended up happening was:

"LOOK INSIDE QUICKLY!!! I HAVE NEW, GROUND-BREAKING INFO ON THE 8100"

While inside, we saw:

"...uh...but just not here or right now...check back later..."

Just asking for patience in your posting.

However, I'll happily concede that you were indeed correct, and scooped even the mighty BG by getting the, albeit vague, info to the table first.

Carry on...

Just to note - fully supports Outlook 2007 with no special modifications or any weird configurations.

The DM 4.2 makes it that much easier for me to have both phones. I have the 8700g now and wanted to use the 8100 as my night/weekend phone. It's the perfect software to compliment the phone. Sign me up on the 12th.
