Default Calendar Updates?

Please Login to Remove!

I have the 8700c w/ cingular ...and I know this was working but somewhere down the line has stopped...

I am connected via BES.

If I update my calendar on my desktop (exchange server) it will sync properly with the Blackberry. However if I update the calendar on the blackberry - it will not sync to my desktop (wirelessly of course).

I've spend numeroush hours with Cingular/Rim regarding the issue. The last change is they told us we needed to make sure that all exchange services were in sync with the blackberry servers. We loaded patched and dll's and all are on the same platform according to Rim ....

But it's still not working.

As long as "we" had something to do, there was constant communication from Rim. The moment we were in sync with all the updates...can't get a decent answer from them.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Everything else syncs as expected...

What exactly have you already done? Is the calendar sync issue for only one person, or everyone?

The one way sync issue is global.

Here's what was suggested and completed:

Apply hotfix 3 for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0 service pack 4.

Before you apply hotfix 3 for service pack 4, please install service pack 4.

The MAPI32.DLL and CDO.DLL files on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server are at
version 6.5.7638.x. This indicates you already have Exchange System Manager
2003 service pack 2 installed. Therefore, you will just need to apply service
pack 4 followed by hotfix 3 for service pack 4 on the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server.

Screen shots of "versions" were then forwarded to Rim to show completion.

Default what about if it's happening on BES 4.1?

We are having the issue too, only we updated to 4.1 yesterday before we found out the issue was with everyone and not just this one user. I lost touch with these forums (big mistake lol) so i didn't think about checking here first. Is there a hotfix for 4.1 to resolve the issue?

Hopefully there is one!

This is a pain as everytime I update my calendar from my BB I have to remember to send myself an email so I can add it to my desktop.... then get to my desktop - add the calendar event ....

....and THEN delete the duplicate off the blackberry???

Something's kinda wrong with this picture...

Yeah... I'm there. Mailstreet.com BES help anyone? Same issue. I'm so sick of these "Science Fair Projects" seriously, I'd love to be part of a pilot program sometime but I have a day job and I need this &$@^ to work!

You need to speak to your BES admin to "re-do" the BES account's security key. In extreme case, the admin needs to literally blow out the account and recreate it. This happens occassionally on the older BES. If I recall correctly, your admin need to refresh the security key. I could be wrong but I used to have this problem sometimes when I was on a BES.

Unfortunately - I've tried both (redoing the security key) and blowing away the entire account. I even replaced the blackberry unit to confirm it was not a solo issue.

Has anyone ever figured out what to do to fixe this issue? We just started having this problem today (no changes were made to BES or anything else). Calendar items will not sync from BB to Exchange, but will sync in the other direction. Email and contacts work fine in both directions... Seems odd...
