Sad to say, mine hit concrete. Now she has some scratches up top, by the speaker and power buttons. Bummer. =(

I've probably dropped my 7520 20-30 times, pavement, concrete, you name it, no problems. built like a brick sh*thouse. My only issues have been from moisture, even sweat. I'm a landscaper.

Mine fell out of my bed, hit the wall and SMACK on the wood floor under the bed the other night after vibrating to alert me of a message, landing face up so I could see the screen. Still working fine. Thank heavens for egrips and screen protectors which softened the blow and protected the screen.

I have the same problem, my gf needs it to be silent during the night, fine. But when the alarm goes off, I swatted the Blackberry by accident onto the floor, luckily carpeted.

Cool 3 times in the first week

It kept slipping out of the holster the very first week I bought it. Now I keep it in my pocket. I haven’t dropped it since then.

I guess I learned from my mistakes

I not only dropped mine, I threw mine violently. I was drunk leaving a bar, pulled my phone out to call somebody and noticed the bar's bracelet still on my wrist, so I tore it off so quick and in doing so threw the phone accidently 15 feet away onto the pavement. Aside from the battery flying out a 2 gauges on the back, still works like new. Thank goodness for the screen protector though

Last week I dropped mine onto the concrete a couple of times while moving. Luckily, I have already applied my body skin from best skins ever. My skin now has some scuff marks on it, but none on my berry.

I dropped mine this weekend. It fell out of the OEM holster (I had ordered the leather OEM, which, of course, arrived yesterday) and onto the floor. Sure enough, even with the BSE stuff, the blackberry is ever so slightly damaged on the top corner...like a divot.

Now it's in the leather case. Blackberry still works perfectly, it's just now a scratch and dent. :(

Who else? fess up!
I'm pretty careful. Have dropped my 7100t twice, both times while it was in the holster, from only about waist high. The 7100t owned by an office mate of mine survived his motorcycle wreck a few months back.....well, more or less, as about two weeks ago he started getting a white screen that would come and go when he would push any key (and phone continued to work).

I spilt a dirty martini on mine, had a big wet mark on the back of the screen for a few days but it eventually dried out and it is fine now... These things are pretty hardy...

dropped mine today (got it yesterday) some silly woman running across the road bumped into my side and it flew out of it's case and exploded across the road, picked it up (wimpering) thinking the worst, whacked it back together and all works fine, have some character on 2 of the corners but smoothed over pretty well after i dug the *****umen out of it.
i loves my blackberry, tough as nails, if that happened to a pocket pc or dare i say a nokia me thinx i wouldn't have been so lucky!

Lets see now....

I've dropped mine 10x on Concrete
Twice on my spanish tiled floors
Twice down Stairs
Slid Five times across carpet and business tiled floors
numerous times on the asphalt
Twice in the dirt
Received numerous scratches, nicks and grinds from variable sources
thrown several times and landed in the wrong "hard" places
Batteries ejected at least 8 times due to falls or accidental chucks
Several uncountable times my holster jammed and slid my blackberry out
once grinded
Twice stepped on

And it STILL gets Badass Reception and 1XEV and no loose components or internal damage what so ever

It's not a 8700, but my 7250 is a Tank and rock solid!

P.s. Oh forgot, had some sticky sap on it once, and the buttons still worked like a champ! hahaha That and i spilled water and other liquids on it, but never submerged.
