The SIM card that you have now will work on your BlackBerry. It will be voice and SMS only though. You will have to get the BB Data Plan added for any internet/e-mail usage. The unlimited plan is $44.99.

Dude, call cell company, tell them you found a phone.. Or better yet, check the owner info in the options menu, maybe you can contact the owner...It's all about Karma....

Call the company. There are several unique identifiers that you can use to determine who the device belongs to even if the data was wiped. Quit trying to cop out and do the right thing.

Yup, how would we all feel if and when we lost our BB? We'd be so happy if someone turned it in...

If the unit was wiped it is likely that it belongs in a BES somewhere which for securuity reasons once it was reported lost or stolen went ahead and wiped it clean. For that same reason even if you did not want to do the right thing which is to return it, you would not be able to activate it at all. So no matter what you may think you want to do at best youd have a phone and could never activate the data plan. Now these devices are expensive enough that I am sure that the owner would be very grateful for you returning it.

Nah, it was just sitting there in a belt holster, on someone's hip. The guy would have probably lost it sooner or later anyway, so where's the problem?

Make sure to used the security and lock features. I have mine set to lock upon holstering. My owner information pops up on the screen when trying to unlock.

I have toooo much personal info in there for for me to loose it and it fall into someones hands.

I LOVE how all these people just "find" things and have NO compunction about using someone else's property that doesn't belong to them.

i see this sort of .... on the Sidekick forums and it makes my stomach churn.

I hope it DOES get reported stolen and you end up having to explain use of stolen property.

Reap what you sow man....

Somehow I don't find that to be believable.
