How do i make that go away. I only want my signature to appear in emails that i compose for the first time. 7520 on a BES. Thanks,

Best way would be to remove the signature from your webclient and set up an autotext combo to put in your sig. I use zz and that adds my sig to messages.

I do my sig with zx but note that on BES they can force a policy that adds a sig so check it out.

Probably not relevant but if you're using multiple accounts with multiple signatures, autotext is definitely the way to go.
