Default About to buy 7290 for Cingular, but one question

My company is pretty tech-illerate and does not have an IT dept, so they can't install any kind of corporate software. I was planning on buying the 7290 for Cingular and just wanted to make sure that email can be accomplished buy simply entering my corporate and personal POP3 / SMTP settings into the device? Or do I have to install the redirector software? Sorry for such a newbie question, but I don't even have the device yet. Thanks.

Does your company use an Exchange server? With that you can re-direct email via the desktop re-director but an Exchange server is required. For POP3 mail you'll use the BWC (Blackberry Web Client) to push email to your BB this can also be used for corp email if you pull that through POP3 as well?

I would research it a little. I've rarely seen pop3/imap open to the public for corporate email accounts. So if they say "yes it's open", make sure it's not only internal that can use it and external, otherwise it won't do you much good.
