Default New Company - No BES

Please Login to Remove!

Really excited for the new job, but not thrilled when they told me this morning that BES is being phased out. I was looking forward to finally having seamless integration with my Exchange account and my BB. :(

Do I have any options beside BIS if I want corporate connectivity? It was suggested I buy a "real phone" and use ActiveSync instead.

Unfortunately not... You're pretty much SOL.

Before picking your new device though, find out whether your company requires device encryption via their Exchange policies. This will limit your choices if they do.

Thanks for the information. I'm not sold on any other phone right now, so I'll put up with it for the time being while I weigh my options.

Basically, if they require encryption, your choices are iPhone or a device running Android 4.0+.

And possibly BB10 devices when they're released.

if they have OWA access, you might be able to set up a BIS connection to it

it wont have all the features of BES but you can still use your BB.

Also look at astrasync too, it is BES like

Astrasync would work with your current BB to allow it to be setup on the new company's ActiveSync server. We use NotifySync to accomplish that here as well.
