How can I get my BB 9700 to insist on a security code when I turn it on? I used to be able to do this but for some reason I now cannot find a relevant menu.

I am not talking about the PIN which is invoked when the BB has not been used for a certain amount of time.

For example: Options / Password / Enabled is about the PIN and the Security TimeOut.

I mean where I power off then power on and it demands a code.

By code, do you mean a password?

That is the password you need to enable. Options > Password, etc, is not about the a PIN code, it sets the password for when powered up or after a usage timeout.
