Hi everyone, first time post here...

I see a lot of posts about people not getting their Facebook notifications but seem to have the opposite problem!

I have a Storm (the first model; 9500) and had the equivalent of the Blue Screen of Death - I forget the actual error code but it resulted in me having to completely reboot the OS. This also forced me to upgrade to the new Facebook app, not that this was any hardship... I had no problems with the app before, but now there's always a '6 unread notifications' icon on the Blackberry Home Screen. If I get notifications it goes up to 7, 8, 9 etc. but never less than 6.

I've literally just uninstalled the FB app, rebooted the phone and reinstalled the newest FB app available but am still getting the same thing. Even when I see in the Facebook App's notifications list (actually in the app), it says "! You have no notifications".

Any ideas? I guess it's not that bad as luckily I don't find it hard deducting 6 from a low number but it's bugging me and I wondered if anyone had come across anything similar and knew how to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK I have fixed it, and as with most problems it was user error!

Apparently I had 6 unread messages deep within my inbox, that the previous app didn't pick up on but the new one did...

I think it is facebook fault sometimes i also don't receive the notifications :/ may be it is because of facebook is updating there database these days

I got that before, I couldn't find the notifications forever. I went on the computer and saw that I had a few messages that were supposed to be sent in the chat but they were inboxed and put on my Blackberry notifications.
