Default How do I wipe my phone?

Please Login to Remove!

I just switched from my Pearl to another phone, and had no problem getting rid of the apps, and I took the SD chip out. But, the phone still shows my email addresses and has the contents of the address book. I can't seem to find the way to wipe all personal data. I'm sure there is a simple answer, I just don''t have it.

I have a 9700 so I don't know if it is the same but "options>security options>security wipe" should do the trick if it is the same.

Well, unfortunately, the Pearl (I'm on 4.50) does not have this setting. It has Security Settings but not Security Wipe.

Anything else that I could try? I want to sell the phone but don't want my address book and email accounts on it.

Try Options > Security Options > General Settings > BB Menu key > Choose "Wipe Handheld"

4.X OS is Options > Security Options > General Settings > BB Menu key > Choose "Wipe Handheld"

5.X OS is Options > Security Options > Security wipe

6.X OS is Options > Security > Security wipe

I have just removed IT Policy from a mates Blackberry bold 9000
which he bought of ebay.
All i did was put my vodaphone sim card and used the wipe on the hand held
after it rebooted it asked for password so i put one in then switch phone off and remove
sim card and restart.
then installed JL_Cmder 1.9 onto my laptop then reconect the phone via usb run JL_Cmder follow the promps till you get to the choices select factory reset when the phone reboots disconect from usb.
This worked for me hope this works for you.
