I'm living off my BB for the next two weeks (no PC) and I have a few Mp3s from my motorola V710I want on my 7130e I'm getting tomorrow. If you can pin me at 400c5e9c, I'll send them right off the phone. Thanks

Since you don't have a server you could use
http://inevitabletruth.org/blackberry/ringtones/
or if you want you can send the file to me and I'll host it for a couple of days.
Volume is controlled by the music editor of your choice.

Help - Phillips phone tools will not recognize MP3's
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I have read throughly on this thread and in this forum before posting this newbie question. I have dl'd phillips mobile phone tools and even figured out how to get to the music editor. Of course it wants to load a phone each time which I have always cancelled out. Problem is that it won't recognize my mp3's within the program. A note within the help area of the program says the following:
"Warning!
The availability and display of the studios and the functions depend on the application version you are using. They also depend on the configuration of your PC, the capabilities of your mobile phone, and your subscription with your telephone operator."
Obviously since it did not recognize a phone it will not allow the MP3's to even be shown. So I am curious. Do I have too new of a version? What is the workaround for this so that i may edit and save my MP3's as ADP's.

I'm with MikeShanihan, I cannot see any .wav or .mp3's after opening the MMstudio and Melody editor. Surely converting a WAV to Oki ADPCM is not this complicated. If people are converting these.. please grace us with your wisdom. Thanks!

Ok, for everyone who is struggling with installing and using Philips Mobile PhoneTools, please take a look at this thread:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=25412
I have made a little visual aid for you guys.. believe me, I need it as much as you all
As for the simprit software, I think it's great stuff as well.. but is $25 vs. free (Philips).
I would like the simprit miniringtone software better if it had the option to save your ringtones locally as well. Currently there only seems to be the option to send it to simprit's server.. don't get me wrong, most people will NEED that. But some more sales can be made with more options available.

Philips Multimedia STudio does not see any of my .WAV's .MP3s's .ADP files. Anyone know why it can not read my files? I have serveral .Wav's that I have alrdy editted down using GoldWav. Can someone just accept my .Wav's and convert them? I have no problem uploading them to LuckyLuciano but I can not get my files into the right FORMAT.
I can see music files when I am in ther MMS Studio mode , but I dont think this does me any good

Hi everyone,
I'm a 7130e user, and have been trying to download ringtones as suggested above but have not been succesful. Could this have something to do with the browser? Is there any way to add mime types to the blackberry browsers? I always recieve the same error when attempting to download error 406. It would be really cool if someone would send me in the right direction.
Thanks so much,

ringtones for 7130e
This works on my TELUS branded 7130e, but might work on other 71xx.
Get a mp3 file that you want, 15-30secs is ok.
encode the file: (i use cool edit pro)
16-24kbs, 16000Hz Mono (haven't try higher settings)
save the mp3 file and uploaded it here (should be less than 512k)
http://www.coolservice.dk/en/compatibilities.php
use your bb browser to get the file, play it then save.
it works on my 7130e, and never bother changing it to adp files.
pls post if this works on your bb or not.
thx
