Default Phone ringer question

Please Login to Remove!

On the 9700, when setting the phone to "vibrate only" the ringer still sounds. The "All Alerts Off" works correctly.

Any suggestions for a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Did you proceed to "sounds" and "edit profiles" and check the settings for the vibrate profile? Don't know how it would get changed on it's own, but make sure the volume settings on all the ringtones are set to silent for the vibrate profile.

If everything is set to silent, then I'm stumped. Next step is a battery pull. Do it with the power on, wait about 30 seconds, at least.

If that doesn't do it, use Desktop Manager, and clear the profiles data base. Then test. Then redo your custom profile settings. Hopefully you don't need to go that far.

Thank you for your response. I checked that and everything was in order, and I had tried the battery pull already.

We found the solution, (my wife's phone) she had turned the LED on and after turning it off, the vibrate mode worked correctly.

Strange, but true.

Odd. What would the LED have to do with sound playing on vibe-only? Must test.
