Hi, I had an ATT blackberry bold 9000 before, I’m using t-mobile so I just needed to unlock the phone to use it. It’s is no problem using internet…I could use internet browser with bb9000…..

However, now I just bought a t-mobile blackberry bold 9700, the problem is when I use the internet browser … it takes me to the t-mobile web page , seem like I have to have a t-mobile internet plan if I want to use internet even though the wifi connected.
I bought the unlock code for my phone but no luck, it’s still the same.
Anything can help me to solve this problem? I feel so sad with this.

Sorry generic data plans don't work. you need "the tmobile data service" to use the internet not continue with at&t service.

why they built wifi on it if we must have a plan to use ?

Because wi-fi can be used when data signal is poor and wi-fi is available
wi-fi is generally a faster connection
surfing via wi-fi doesn't use the data plan MB's, good for those on limited data plans.
