Default 7290 games... looking for Galaga, Pacman, Tetris, Mario

Please Login to Remove!

I'd love to get Galaga, Pacman, Tetris, and Mario Bros (any old nintendo games). for my 7290. I would need to get the uploaded via usb, given that i don't have a data account. I tried the game links listed on the faq, but the mario bros didn't work. I also tried to download a etch-a-scetch...it didn't work either. Am i missing something here?

If anyone knows where you can download some sweet games (preferabley for free) for the 7290, then i'd love to hear from you! Thanks!

Here are two of them (both free):

BlackBerry Tetris: www.altagon.com/@funsoft/bbt_main.htm
Pacman: www.bennychow.com/pacmanindex.shtml

I don't think the others are available for the BlackBerry.

thanks a ton! This forum thing is ultra usefulll what a blessing! If you ever find galaga or any of the older nintendo games, that would be so sweet. they list mario bros on one of the links given in the main faq listed at the top of the general discussion, but it doesn't work.

Galaga-style videogame, similiar to Gyruss:
"Proteus"

You can download BlackBerry Desktop USB installation version from http://www.magmic.com ... Or for wireless download, type http://bb.magmic.com on your BlackBerry and download the trial version OTA.

Also in the developer forum, some people say they got a Nintendo emulator to "sort of run" on BlackBerry, but didn't work with controls -- some programmer needs to refine the Java Nintendo emulator to work properly (I don't think the 7290 is fast enough though -- need an 8700 or similiar)

The Mario Brothers you saw is for older BlackBerry devices (RIM 950 or 957 models only). It won't work on Java BlackBerries.

Hey 7290 users (or compatible)... what are some of the best FREE games you have found that work... Pacman and Tetris are pretty sweet. What are some others you guys like?

Any downside to having games on your blackberry?

Downside? I'd spend to much time playing games rather than doing my work. lol.

Here are some more free games that should work on a 7290:

Chess Puzzles: http://pdagamesoft.com/RIM/Chess-Puzzless
Goro: http://www.rimroad.com/software/rim1...-rim-rim1.html
Same Game: http://www.rimroad.com/software/rim1...-rim-rim1.html
Space Invader: http://pdagamesoft.com/RIM/Space-Invader
Tumbler: http://www.rimroad.com/software/rim1...-rim-rim1.html

You should also check out the games at www.magmic.com. The quality of the games is much better, they're relatively inexpensive (for what you get), and they're available in trial versions so you can try before you buy.
