So I'm having a huge issue with Appworld which is making it completely useless. It crashes every time I go onto any apps page or whatever you'd call it, it stalls on 'loading'. Can't go back, can't close appworld. I can hit the red button and use all the other functions of the BB, but appworld is still open and frozen. Only thing to fix that is a battery pull. Also sometimes when trying to open Appworld it completely freezes the whole phone and all I can do is a battery pull. I've deleted it, rebooted, deleted the entire appworld folder, reinstalled many times. Doesn't seem to help.

Any thoughts?

Ditto the above. If memory is good, and the hard reset does nothing, try the following. When you start app world and it hangs, hold the alt key, and then press r, s and t (alt-r,s,t). I expect app world will close after a moment. You could then try starting again and see what happens, or do a battery pull and then try. Just a SWAG. But I'm gathering the alt-r,s,t funcion has several uses, and this may be one of the things it will correct.

App World, I have found to actually be pretty flaky. Another option would be to access App World using your GMS Radio Not over Wi-Fi, or visa versa.. Sometimes when App World has not worked for me I have access it a different way.

I ended up downgrading the OS and it seems to work more stable now. Never got to try the alt-r,s,t thing. What is it? Similar to ctrl-alt-del or something?

I don't know exactly. I get the impression there is a cache, and it can get corrupted, causing different symptoms, and that clears the cache and/or resets something. I first learned about it in relation to the problem where a download will hang and the user will be stuck with the hung download. The other problem it is reported to correct is clearing entries in my world that didn't go away after the apps were deleted.
