Default Default Maps

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,
I have a BB 9700 and would like to know how to make Google Maps the default Maps for my BB 9700. I went to options/advanced/maps and the only map I have to choose from is Blackberry Maps. I have installed the latest version of Google Maps 4.2.0.

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

You cannot make it default.

im curious what trouble thats causing you. is there a situation where another app is opening maps and its not opening the one you want? cause the couple of apps that i have that invoke maps, im able to set the options of that particular app to specifically open google maps

Trax95008,
The app that I am using is called "Trapster" (Speed Trap Sharing System - Trapster) and when I use this program the maps that show up are Microsoft maps. I asked the Company and they told me the maps that show up are driven by my provider (which is T-mobile) and or the Blackberry (9700). I don’t know how true this is or not. I do know that I have blackberry maps as my default service, I have Google Maps 4.2 installed, and when I open trapster Microsoft Maps show up, I just don’t like Microsoft maps, I prefer Google Maps.

My OS is 5.0.0.714, maybe I will upgrade to the newest version and try it again.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
