Default Sudden issues with desktop manager.

Hi
I'm suddenly having issues with my curve 8900, running on os5. My DM is 5.0.1 . Before, I could use the desktop manager to connect to my curve and use the media manager and app loader.
Recently, the desktop manager is not showing my device in the "device connected" bit. When I click it, I can select my phone from the drop down, but it still says "none". When I try to connect to media manager, it asks for the device password, doesn't respond for a while, and asks for the password again. I can't even connect to app loader, it tells me to upgrade which is strange, as I'm running the latest software. I tried reinstalling DM, no luck.

I haven't loaded any new apps or anything that could change the system. I am running windws 7, and have a blackberry plan.

Please help me out, as I really need the dm functionality.

Are you on a BES?

Are you connecting to your PC via a HUB? If so, try connecting directly into a USB port on the PC.

And also do a battery pull on the BB. That tends to fix many problems.

You can also try deleting and reinstalling DM on the PC.

And also try a search. I got a number of hits using Google and searching on "desktop manager will not connect".

Well, I'm on a BIS, not a BES. And I'm connecting directly, not through a hub. Tried the reinstall, and also the battery pull. No luck :( . I found one post with my exact provblem, but it wasn't resolved. Any ideas?

Do you have a media card in the BB? If so try removing it and see if it will connect.

Are you sure that nothing changed on your BB setup? Have you tried another version (either earlier or later) of DM?

Is this a company owned laptop? Could they have changed something?

Yes, I am using a media card, ill try removing it and try again.
I'm positive nothing changed in the BB. I've tried DM 4.7 , exact same problem.
And the laptop isnt company owned, and I cant remember any major changes recently.

Okay, It seems to be working now!
I uninstalled and reinstalled desktop manager again, updated to 5.01, and also did a battery pull.
