Does anyone know how i might could purchase or get FREE a verison of the Bible or just the New Testament uploaded onto my blackberry? Is this possible? Is this possible without the "data" service?

Go to http://blackberry.beiks.com/rim/bible.asp
You can download the Noah Bible Viewer free and buy the Old and New Testament.

Thanks a bunch! IT looks like you can download the viewer for 19.99 and then the KJV ASV translations are free for download. You can buy the NIV for a fee. If you or anyone here has this, i'd be interested to know what you think of it.

Thank you very much!

Get beiks, the olive tree bible is missing portions of Pauls letters. Dawg spotted the missing parts.

Anyone who has the beiks KJV...can you do word searches? Topic searches? Etc. Or is it just a straight text. I'm curious if you can make notes, highlight, and other things like that...

Yes, you can do word searches. From the Beiks web site:
# Access multiple Bible translations with simple, intuitive interface
# View the desired book, chapter and verse within seconds (improved in version 2)
# Add, list and jump to bookmarks
# Highlight and copy text
# Add custom notes to verses
# Full text search (not indexed yet)
# Select the output font size (new in version 2)
# Install separate Old and New testament modules or complete mixed books (new)
# Access Spanish and Greek translations of the Bible (new)
# Read notes under line left from translator (new, content-specific)

When you consider the limited space/computing power on a BB you will find Beiks to be a great fit for most uses. No, it's not a Dakes, Scofield or Thompson Chain and I'm sure there will be better future applications but I give it a thumbs up as a hip pocket sword.
