Is it just me or is anyone else having problems working with the sms screen display (which shows the email trail)on the 9700?

When I'm drafting a quick message and press the return key by mistake, the sms gets to sent recipients incomplete.

Is there any way to change the format,the original format on older models I think was better to use?

Nope. This is what we've got, ever since OS 5.0. The only way to change it back to the old format is to downgrade the OS to something pre-5.0, and for the 9700 nothing like that exists.

I hate the return key sending the text too. I can deal with all the trails etc. Frustrates me to not be able to easily use that new invention called a 'paragraph'.

Depending upon the OS version on the device, you should be able to turn off the "Press Enter Key to Send" function.

Go to Options > SMS to see if you have that option.

Alternately, you can press SHIFT ENTER to add a line break without sending the SMS.

And let us not forget that SMS messages were not designed to be multi-paragraph tomes. After all, it's Short Message Service.
