I should have been more specific. You are probably right on the UMA handoff. I really haven't noticed much difference (which is, when leaving my house with UMA while on a call, the call drops at least half the time when switching away from UMA). What I meant was the stability of my UMA connection. My 8320 was a champ in that regard. I've tried several OS 5 builds for my 9700 and none of them have held a UMA connection as well, often dropping to EDGE during a call, and sometimes to GPRS (although not dropping the call). .593 has been the most stable in that regard and seems to hold a connection on my home UMA better than any other build.
