I upgraded to 5.0.419 and love the new texting format, however I often have texts that freeze. What happens is I will be in a conversation, then will receive a text and it shows a new text, but when I click on it to open it nothing happens. I am also using Quicktext and try to access that text thread by starting a new text to that person, but it just gives me an exclamation point or similar icon. If I to to the top of the text threads and then start a new sms, enter the recipient, click ok it will then unfreeze that text thread and I can proceed with the conversation. When it freezes that is the only way to get the text.

Anybody else experiencing this? The other thing I didn't like about it initially was there was not a time stamp on the text themselves, but I just noticed when you scroll through them the time stamp is up top where it shows who the text thread is with. oops lol.

yeah im having the same problem. looks like nothing we can do about it, but be very annoyed. Ive had to do so many batt pulls lately its not even funny. But i'm waiting for the new HTC EVO to come out anyways, or possibly the iphone if it ever goes to sprint.

I have had that problem on both .320 and the new .591. There really isn't anything you can do to stop it from happening. I've gone to using Yahoo! Msgr as an alternative when its someone that I text a lot.
