just got my rogers 9700, upgraded from a 8900 with uma... out of the box the 9700 has v5.0.0.351 (platform v5.1.0.98). now im not sure if it does the same thing as the 8900 where when in a wifi zone it switchs over to UMA.. but when i go to a wifi zone, it says the wireless network and then shows "SOS" or "NO SERVICE" ... i still get bbms, and browser etc, but sms and voice dont work.. would a software upgrade fix this or am i barkin up the wrong tree. thanks

From what i remembering reading here, the rogers 9700 doesn't have UMA.
If you don't see UMA on the screen, its not there.
