Default Desktop Manager always wants to un-install updated BB Msger

Please Login to Remove!

Just picked myself up a brand spankin' new 9550 Storm II yesterday. And of course the first thing I always do is wipe the thing clean and re-install only the stuff that I want on it. No problems there as this is my 6th BlackBerry device.

However, Verizon's most recent OS for the 9550 (5.0.0.320) still has the 4.7 version of BlackBerry Messenger on it. No problem, I go to the BB mobile site and download the update.

Now here's the issue. Whenever I connect to the Desktop Manager, I always see that there is an update for "Core Applications." Fine, if there's an update, I'd like to have it. But the Loader App always wants to un-install my updated BlackBerry Messenger and replace it with the old version.

Am I missing something? I thought I was pretty good at this stuff

Thanks, and I apologize if this has already been asked.

I have the 8330 from Sprint want to try it out with my Tmobile. My 8320 from Tmobile acts like a magic Jack every other word is dropped. Plus I am waiting for my 9550 from Verizon to arrive. Is there a way to unlock a 8330 from Sprint? I still have time to return my 9550 from Verizon.. I love Blackberrys I just hate when they do not work right.

How many times are you going to post this?!

You can ask the question as many times as you wish, but the answer will remain the same. YOU CAN'T USE YOUR 8330 ON T-MOBILE!!
